The key advantages of digital photography compared to conventional protography are as follows:
- No processing costs - you do not have to send your fils away to be developed before you can view your pictures
- Instant results - you can see your pictures immediately and get rid of the bad ones. This means you can take many more photos in order to get the right one.
- Number of pictures - gone are the days where you can only take 12, 24 or 36 pictures. Most storage cards will hold tens, hundeds or thousands of images (depending on the quality)
- Pictures can be loaded on to your computer for you to manipulate, print or email to family
There is only one disadvantages of digital photography that we could think of.
Losing pictures - this is not really a fault of digital photography but many people will copy the pictures on their PC and not get around printing them out or backing them up. If something happens to their PC then they lose all their pictures.
